We’re looking for the best co-working spaces in DC, Maryland, and Virginia so we tried a new spot — Quill & Crumb located in the Folger Shakespeare library, less than a quarter mile from the Capitol in DC.
When looking for a great coworking space, there are 5 things in our criteria:
Food and drink options
Seating availability
Access to WiFi
Noise level
Overall vibe

FOOD AND DRINK - 3/5
Quill & Crumb had food, drink, and snack options on their menu, which is perfect if you need a little pick me up. Their espresso machine was unfortunately broken, so we need to come back!
SEATING - 5/5
The seating was easy — lots of options with both couches and tables, perfect to sit alone or with a small group.
WIFI - 3.5/5
They had free WiFi, which is huge but it was a little slow.
NOISE - 3.5/5
While it was a little noisy, it was not loud enough to be disruptive to our conversation or too quiet where we would have disturbed those around us.
VIBE - 5/5
This place is stunning! The high ceiling and beautiful wood paneling feel so grand. It was comfortable and friendly. It is also surrounded by the history of the library which contributed to the inspiring ambiance.
OVERALL - 4/5
It was a great place to get work done and feel inspired.
Where should we try next?
